This plagues my dreams. I first saw this on Nathan's blog, art throb and I can't stop thinking about this woman. This is from Phil Collin's video installation "the world won't listen" It's also launched me into like 5 Smiths freakouts.

I think this installation has only been at the Dallas Museum of Art earlier this year. I wish I could see it.

First Time Patriot

Oh I get it... This is what it feels like to be proud of your country. I woke up this morning for the first time with an incredible weight off my back. Doom and gloom be gone! Obama is inheriting a shit storm, I know. But, YES! YES! YES!I am so optimistic about the future for the first time.

And to see President Obama's face lined up along those old, white man's faces, I say, "YES!" My heart is swollen with pride and hope. Finally real reparations, not pittance. Finally reciprocity, not false promises.
